Quaker App - Widget that displays a different quote from George Fox for each day of the year.
This widget is for members of (or those interested in) the Religious Society of Friends. It displays a different quote from George Fox for each day of the year. Touch the quote and an accompanying verse from scripture will also appear. Menu selections provide the access to all 366 quotes by title or date.
The quotes tend to be Christo-Centric, but even Friends who are not so oriented can be inspired by the spiritual depth and power of words from the founder of Quakerism.
Friends who have not installed widgets before should be aware that that widgets are handled differently than regular apps. They do not automatically appear after the install. Different Android versions use different techniques for activating widgets. Check the documentation for your device or our website (sponsored by Marlborough Meeting).
